Congratulations Eoin!
Congratulations to Eoin Floyd, Fifth Class who recently won the Specsavers Ireland Children’s Short Story Competition (10 years and over). Eoin won a selection of books and €500 for the school as well as a €100 Eason’s voucher for his class. He was presented his award in Soecsavers Ballina along with his Mum, Anna, Mrs. Kennedy, Principal and his Class Teacher Miss Geraldine O’Malley. A fantastic achievement and a fantastic story too. First Holy Communion
Saturday 4th September 2021
Congratulations to all the children in Third Class who made their Communion recently. A beautiful day and Ceremony was enjoyed by all and Fr. Francis took the time to make a special blessing not just on the Communicants but also for Mayo to bring home Sam.
Confirmation Day

Congratulations to all our former pupils on their Confirmation Day. We wish them well as they begin their journey in Secondary School.
Movie time
On Saturday 5th of September Crossmolina National School children had the opportunity to become part of the cast of an upcoming movie. Some of our lucky pupils got to see what goes on behind the scenes of movie making and felt inspired! What a fantastic experience and memories to treasure.
Mayo Day
September 8th was a Special Day. As we celebrated the build up to the All-Ireland Final our school were asked to be part of a news segment on BBC1 showcasing our support for our local talented footballers, the Mayo team and highlighting our special connection to the win of 1951. Our Principal Mrs. Kennedy is niece to Doctor Mickey Loftus one of the last members of the panel from 1951. She was delighted to share her experiences with the interviewer.
Belleek Cross Country Championships 23rd September 2021
Congratulations to the 24 pupils who represented our School at the North Mayo Cross-Country Championships. They were: Tara Leonard, Sarah Kenny, Saoirse Hopkins, Emma Loftus, Aoife Flaherty, Muireann McHale, Cian Coggins, Darragh Mc Loughlin, Ruairí Coggins, Rían Floyd, Alex Cooke, James Gallagher, Mia Costello, Isabelle Moyles, Caoimhe Flaherty, Carragh Tolan, Kate Ann Loftus, Ailish Lynn, James Gardiner, Eanna O'Boyle, Connor Howley, John Cosgrove, Jack Leonard, Conor Moloney.
Having little or no training, due to the short notice, each one of them completed the Course and came back to school smiling. We are very proud of them. Special thanks to the parents who brought the children to Belleek and also Ms. Judge.

Christmas Cards for Schools
The Parents Association are running their Annual Create a Christmas Card fundraiser for the school. Last date for receipt of orders is Wednesday November 3rd.
Christmas Shoe-box Appeal
Terry Brosnan visited the school and your child has a leaflet home with them regarding information on how to contribute to the appeal. Boxes should be returned no later that Wednesday 3rd November. Please do not send the €4 into the school. It should b put into the Envelope section of the leaflet and placed in the box.
