‘IRELAND’S CYCLING SCHOOL OF THE YEAR’ AWARD: over the last two years we have been aiming for our fourth green flag for travel. Along the way we entered into ‘The Big Bike Challenge’ to help increase the amount of pupils cycling to school. Various surveys were carried out to support the challenge and last week we received the good news that we were the worthy winners of this award. Mrs. Cawley, Mrs. Kennedy, Ethan Connor, Louise Davidson, Jonathan Murtagh and Brian McKinley attended the special ceremony in Dublin yesterday. Special congratulations to all the children and parents who cycled to school. We would like to encourage as many children as possible to cycle to school in the last term. We are designating next Friday May 8th followed by 15th and 29th May as SOC DAYS (scoot or cycle to school).
FOURTH GREEN FLAG FOR TRAVEL congratulations to the hardworking committee, pupils, staff and school community for helping our school get our fourth Green Flag. We are so proud of this achievement. We will have an official ceremony to raise the green flag at a date to be decided in June.
